Victor Muffat-Jeandet won a bronze medal and with this, he ended France’s 70 years long Olympic medal drought. The last time France won was in 1948 where Henri Oreiller won gold and James Couttet bronze and since then it had eluded France till the men’s Alpine in 2018 winter Olympics. The chances of Muffat-Jeandet landing a medal wasn’t really there and the 28 years old was bursting with joy after the win.
