Gaurav Gill becomes first-ever Arjuna Awardee from motorsport

In a major boost to the motorsport fraternity in India, ace rally driver Gaurav Gill was conferred with the Arjuna Award 2019 on Thursday by President Ram Nath Kovind at the National Sports Day Awards ceremony organized at the Rashtrapati Bhavan. During an illustrious career spanning almost two decades, Gill has won the Asia Pacific Rally Championship three times and Indian National Rally Championship six times.
