Qatar has been a hotspot for controversies since the FIFA World Cup 2022 hosting rights were acquired by them. This time the Germany football team, who got knocked out of the group stages were mocked by football pundits on Qatar's Alkass Sports channel. The pundits mimicked the gesture the players' showed during their protest over human rights as the OneLove armband, supporting the LGBTQ+ was banned.
