Gymnastics trials called off, participants left in dark

In a major blow to aspiring Indian gymnasts preparing for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, the two-day selection trials for the selection for World Artistic Gymnastics Championships at Stuttgart has been postponed. The reason behind this bizarre decision is Sports Authority of India separately urging Indian Olympic Association to hold a selection panel to conduct trials ahead of world championships and other major events.
