India lose 0-3 to Sweden in U-17 tournament

The India U-17 women’s team started off the three-nation football tournament in Mumbai on a frustrating note, suffering a 0-3 defeat at the hands of their Swedish counterpart in the first match on Friday. Maltida Vinberg (4th minute), Ida Weindenberg (25th minute) and Monica Jusu Bah (90+1 minute) netted a goal each as the visitors fully exploited the weaknesses of the Indian team who next play Thailand on Tuesday.
