Injured Tomas Berdych to skip French Open

Former French Open semifinalist Tomas Berdych will not play this year’s event after failing to recover in time from injury fully. An ongoing back problem saw Berdych sitting out the second half of 2018. He had reached the last four at Roland Garros in 2010. The Czech star has played only once since February. 33-year-old Berdych has slipped down to 100th in the ATP rankings after skipping the entire clay court season.
