Japan to declare state of emergency in Tokyo in view of Covid, Olympics to be held without fans

As coronavirus cases continue to surge in Japan, the country is all set to impose a state of emergency for Tokyo to organise the Olympics while curbing the outbreak of the pandemic. While overseas spectators have already been banned, medical experts are in favour of allowing no spectators at all. The International Olympic Committee president Thomas Bach will chair the five-way talks to prepare a strategy for holding the event.
