Japanese superfan spent $40,000 on Olympics tickets

For the past 15 years, Kazunori Takishima has travelled the world to support Japan at every Olympic Games, so seeing the event in his hometown of Tokyo was a dream come true. But, with the announcement last week of a spectator ban due to Covid-19, that ambition came to an end. Now, he has spent over $40,000 on 197 tickets for himself and his friends so that they could attend as many events as possible at Tokyo 2020, which begins on July 23.
