The six times Formula One world champion Mercedes' Lewis Hamilton on Sunday won his record seventh British Grand Prix after one of the most dramatic finishes of his career. Hamilton and his teammate Valtteri Bottas, both witnessed the tyre drama as Bottas' tyre deflated in Lap 50, resulting in dropping from the second position to an eleventh-place finish for him.
