Liverpool, Chelsea through to Champions League last 16

Holders Liverpool beat hosts Salzburg to seal their place in last 16 of this season’s Champions League while Chelsea are also through, but Ajax suffered a shock group-stage exit. Jurgen Klopp’s side just needed a draw but they duly beat Salzburg 2-0 with 2 second-half goals by Naby Keita and Mohamed Salah. Meanwhile, Chelsea survived a late scare to beat Lille 2-1 with goals from Tammy Abraham and Cesar Azpilicueta.
