Manchester City won the League Cup for the fourth time in five seasons beating Aston Villa 2-1 courtesy two goals from Sergio Aguero and Rodrigo. Mbwana Samatta had pulled a goal back for Villa, but their wait for the club’s first trophy since 1996 continues as Pep Guardiola’s boys secured six of the last seven major trophies in English football after thumping Real Madrid 2-1 in the Champions League last week.
