Mary Kom, B Sai Praneeth among others added to target Oylmpic-Podium scheme

Among 12 sportspersons, Mary Kom, shuttler Sai Praneeth, and youngster Yashwani Singh Deswal were included in the Target Olympic Podium Scheme (TOPS) of the government. 10 boxers were brought into the TOPS scheme for the 2020 Olympics by the Sports Authority of India's Mission Olympic Cell. Athletes were chosen on the basis of these parameters: global performance trends from international events in the last three years.
