Medvedev beats Goffin for Cincinnati crown

Russian Daniil Medvedev won his first Masters 1000 title on Sunday with a 7-6(3) 6-4 victory over David Goffin in Cincinnati Masters final. Medvedev had to save 2 break points while serving for the match at 5-4 in the 2nd set. He won the next 4 as well to overcome his Belgian opponent. It was the Russian’s second title of the year after losing on the past two Sundays, to Kyrgios in Washington and Nadal in Montreal.
