Neeraj Chopra qualifies for men's javelin throw final

India's star javelin thrower Neeraj Chopra has qualified for the men's javelin final with the best throw of 86.65 metres. Only three athletes, including Chopra, have qualified automatically from Group A. Germany's Johannes Vetter and Finland's Lassi Etelatalo also qualified for the final with best throws of 85.64 metres and 84.50 metres. 83.50 metres is the automatic qualifying mark. Neeraj made the record throw in 1st attempt.
