Root left out of England T20 squad to face South Africa

England Test captain Joe Root didn’t make it to the squad for the upcoming three T20Is in South Africa. Fast bowler Liam Plunkett, a World Cup winner, has also been left out of the squad for the three ODIs. However, all-rounder Moeen Ali, who decided to take a break from Test cricket, finds his name in both squads. The ODIs are on February 4, 7 and 9 and the T20s in the following week on February 12, 14, and 16.
