Shafali Verma becomes youngest woman cricketer to score half-centuries in both innings of a debut Test

Following on India Women reached 83 on 1 in their second innings tea break on day three with opener Shafali Verma batting on 55. The 17-year-old became the youngest woman cricketer to score a fifty in each innings of a debut Test. She becomes fourth overall to hit two fifties on Test debut. Sachin Tendulkar is the only batsman to score twin fifties in a Test match at a younger age than Shafali Verma.
