US judge in favour of dismissing rape case against Christiano Ronaldo

The civil rape case against Cristiano Ronaldo has been recommended for dismissal by a US judge. The footballer was accused of attacking Kathryn Mayorga, a former model, in a hotel room in 2009. The footballer, however, denied the allegations of sexual assault. Ronaldo said in his defense that the encounter between him and Mayorga was consensual. The model resorted to civil action after the criminal case against Ronaldo was dropped.
