US PGA Tour calls off The Players Championship

US PGA Tour has called off The Players Championship in a series of cancellations amid the coronavirus outbreak. The tour also canceled the upcoming Valspar Championship, the WGC Match-Play and the Texas Open in San Antonio. The Valero Texas Open concludes on April 5, ahead of the first practice round at Augusta National for the Masters. The tour had earlier decided to continue with the Players while barring fans.
