Xavi confirms he was offered Barcelona coaching job

Xavi admits he rejected the offer to manage his former club Barcelona last week because he believed the opportunity came "too early" in his coaching career. Barca had contacted the Spanish football icon before sacking Ernesto Valverde on Monday. Xavi is serving as Al Sadd's manager since his playing career ended with the Qatari side in May and Barcelona appointed former Real Betis manager Quique Setien as new boss.
