Ad display increased on Xiaomi's MIUI handsets after latest update

Xiaomi's inexpensive MIUI handsets are displaying ads even in their settings app after installation of their latest software update. The fourth largest handset company has informed that advertising is an integral part of their business model as it makes up for the revenue. Users have been unable to turn off the settings to generate ads and the company has said that they will offer options to remove these ads.
