Apple has reportedly been headhunting high-profile cloud computing engineers, while focusing on engineers specializing in container and Kubernetes technologies. These form the building blocks of cloud computing infrastructure underpinning Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Microsoft's Azure. This could be Apple trying to end reliance on Amazon and Google for its cloud computing needs, or it could even be preparing to compete with them.
