Application filed against Whatsapp Pay in Supreme court

The center for accountability and statistics (CASC), a think-tank has filed an interim application to the Supreme court, demanding immediate rollback of Whatsapp pay. CASC cited RBI’s affidavit that was submitted to the court last November, which says there cannot be any blanket permission for trials, considering Whatsapp’s poor date record. RBI circular said sensitive personal data cannot be stored outside India.
