Laxman Muthiyah, a Chennai-based security researcher, won $30,000 as a part of bug bounty programme after he found a flaw in Instagram that allowed him to “hack any Instagram account without consent permission.” He discovered this by triggering a password reset, requesting a recovery code or quickly trying out possible recovery codes against the account. He reported & FB & Insta security teams fixed the issue & rewarded him.
