Complaining about work stress, Facebook content moderators in India get pay hike

Facebook content moderators at Genpact's Hyderabad office were complaining of poor working conditions and low pay for months. Finally, they have been handed a pay hike. However, the revised pay structure will only be applicable for the new recruits. Genpact employs more than 1,600 employees to review hateful or violent posts across languages, in line with Facebook's content moderation policies.
