Despite local licensing troubles, Spotify is first to 100 million paid subscribers

Spotify attained the 100 million paid subscribers to mark for its premium service in the 1st quarter in India. Their shares also went up by 5%. A global leader in the music streaming sector & with double the number of subscribers of rivals like Apple Music, Spotify has successfully launched in India, Middle East & North Africa in recent months. It has 217 million MAUs currently & expects to have 107-110 m subscribers soon.
