During IPL final, Hotstar sets new global record for live viewership

Disney's Indian video streaming service Hotsar set a new global record today for live viewership with some 18.6 million users simultaneously suing Hotstar to watch the IPL. Hotstar topped the 10 million concurrent viewership mark a no of times during the 51-day IPL season. The earlier game between RCB & MI was seen by more than 12.7 million viewers. In mid-April, Hotstar had already garnered 267 million overall viewership.
