Hacker received $100,000 from Apple for finding zero-day exploit in Safari web browser

A popular Hackathon named Pwn2Own 2021 turned lucky for a cybersecurity researcher named Jack Dates who received a huge sum of money for finding a security hole in Apple's Safari browser. Dates received a $100,000 cash prize from Apple after he discovered a zero-day exploit in the firm's Safari web browser. Dates used an integer overflow in Safari to execute a Kernel code that would provide the hacker full control of the Mac.
