Huawei picks TomTom to replace Google Maps

TomTom, which is popular for its GPS-related technology, will now serve as the location services provider on Huawei's soon-to-be-released operating system, instead of Google Maps which most of the android devices offer. Huawei is currently exploring several alternatives to lessen its reliance on American companies. Its upcoming OS Harmony and system-level apps are expected to replace Android completely.
