Instagram to scrap its Direct messaging app

Instagram will be shutting down its standalone messaging app Direct within June having only been launched in December 2017. A message confirming the closure is now being displayed in Direct for Instagram app. If you are using Direct for Instagram and are worried about losing your conversations, don’t worry. They are only moving over to the dedicated Instagram app where all the Direct messages would appear as usual.
