Kaseya's decryption key was 'too late' in saving ransomware victims

Following a devastating ransomware assault that shut down 1,500 organizations around the world, the software company Kaseya said that it could assist unlock any of its clients' systems. Kaseya has a decryption key that could unlock any file that had been encrypted by malicious software created by the criminal group REvil, which operates out of Eastern Europe and Russia. For many of the victims, though, it was a little too late.
