Kenya launches largest wind power farm in Africa

Kenya has unveiled Africa's largest wind power farm to strengthen electricity generating capacity and to achieve the country's goal of 100% green energy by 2020. The farm, Lake Turkana Wind Power, will produce 310 megawatts of power to the national grid and enhance the African country's electricity supply by 13%. The Turkana corridor wind, a low-level jet stream originating from Indian Ocean, powers this project.
