Lockheed Martin has revealed a design for a lunar lander it hopes will take astronauts to the Moon in 2024. It has outlined a plan that ties in with NASA's work on human space exploration, and if successful, would take US to the lunar surface 4 years earlier than originally planned. The accelerated timeline seems to be a response to the growing list of other nations planning to leave their footprints on the Moon.
