Mars 'the Only Planet' where Humans can go to escape from Earth

Professor Brian Cox says the Red Planet 'Mars' might be the only space travel option for people, destined to become Martians. He said other than Mars; none can land on any other planets in a BBC show. The physicist had no doubts that humans shall leave the planet one day as we can't stay here forever. According to him, Earth, Mars & Venus, all 3 could possibly have had oceans & rivers on their surfaces.
