"Marsquakes" Scientist discover first seismic tremors on Red Planet

Scientist possibly detected the 1st known seismic tremors on Mars. A dome-shaped probe named as SEIS landed on the surface of Mars; its instruments measure surface vibrations caused by weather but are also capable of detecting movement from deep within the planet or caused by meteorite impacts. Those were termed as 'Marsquakes.' The French space agency that operates SIES said it detected weak but distinct seismic activity.
