NASA bought seats in Russia’s Soyuz rocket amid SpaceX’s historic manned spaceflight preparation

SpaceX is preparing for its historic manned rocket launch in the space later this month. Amid that, NASA has struck a deal with Russian space agency Roscosmos to allow one US astronaut into space aboard a Soyuz rocket. The sum paid for the deal has not been disclosed by Roscosmos but NASA spokesperson said that they had paid $90.25 million, which includes cost of the flight, training, pre-launch and post-landing services.
