Phones flooded with midnight text messages in the US due to technical glitch

A third-party vendor that provides services to US mobile phone operators faced some technical glitch, which led to a flood of text messages in the phones of US mobile users. The news of mysterious text messages was first reported by social media users early Thursday morning. According to the reports, 1,68,149 previously undelivered text messages were inadvertently sent to multiple mobile operators during a maintenance cycle.
