RBI states by end of 2021, digital payments will rise to 8707 Cr from 2069 Cr

With the vision to give a boost to online transactions, the RBI has come out with a vision document for the next 3 years in which it talks about the reduction in the volume of cheque-based payments, growth of UPI, increase in digital payments, reduction in paper-based transactions and others. It stated that a number of digital transactions are expected to rise from 2069 crore in December 2018 to 8707 crore in December 2021.
