Researchers claim to have found the earliest evidence of milk consumption, in the teeth of 6000-year-old British farmers. A team of archaeologists at the University of York, UK identified milk protein embalmed in the mineralised dental plaque of 7 individuals who lived in the Neolithic period. The Neolithic period in Britain from 4000 to 2400 BC & witnessed the rise of farming with the use of domesticated animals.
