Scientists develop 'Xenobots' from living cells; neither a robot nor animal

US scientists claimed to have created zombie robots from reanimated frog cells 'xenobots'. These millimetre-wide xenobots were designed on a supercomputer with the help of an evolutionary algorithm to create thousands of candidate designs. Xenobots are constructed using stem cells harvested from the embryos of African frogs 'Xenopus laevis'. Xenobots are fully biodegradable, powered by lipids and proteins & live for 7 days.
