Mars and Earth may have many things in common, but the processes that sculpt the sand dunes aren’t among them. How Martian sand moves through crevasses, impact craters are still a mystery. But now scientists have revealed how the wild winds, thin atmosphere & temperature work together to shape the alien landscape and it differs from Earth’s sand movement. This research can help in plans for our eventual trip to Mars.
