Second largest chip maker company, Intel sold $1 bn AI chips in 2017
On Wednesday, Intel told that it has sold $1 billion AI chips in the year 2017. It is for the first time the company has revealed its revenue. As there was no rise in the sales of PCs, it was completely depending upon its sale to data centers, which provided them with computing power for mobile and web-based apps. These apps in return used to depend on AI for features like photo and speech recognition.
