A new study says together with artificial intelligence software; a smartphone camera can give a convenient screening system for diabetic retinopathy (DR). DR is a relatively common condition, while early symptoms can be subtle and often overlooked, the disease can strike permanent vision loss if not treated in a timely manner. The key to preventing DR-related vision loss is early detection with regular screening.
