Student solves a centuries-old Physics problem that baffled Newton finally solved

Issac Newton created temporary solutions to the centuries-old problem of 'spherical aberration' but a Mexican student has finally solved it while making his breakfast. An industrial engineer Gonzalez teamed up with his friend Alejandro to solve the 'mythical' problem and their work got published in the journal Applied Optics. Newton had solved the chromatic aberration but not the spherical aberration.
