Indian Airforce conducts successful firing test of Brahmos from mobile platform

The IAF carried out successful firing of surface-to-surface missile BrahMos from a mobile platform at Trak Island in Andaman. It reached the targets with exact i.e. "pin-point" accuracy at targets close to 300 km. Its weight is 2.5-tonne and covers a range of around 300 km. The surface-to-surface missile is an Indo Russian joint venture which can be launched from submarines, ships, aircraft, or from land platforms.
