Uber's self-driving unit is eyeing on a Billion-dollar boost

A group of investors including the SoftBank are discussing to invest $1 billion or more into Uber's self-driving unit and getting a minority stock there. The discussions are in their late stage with a slight possibility a deal might not reach. Google-owned Waymo is the prime competition for Uber in the self-driven car segment. Uber is trying to become the 'Amazon of transportation' by going just beyond just car rides.
