UK plans to phase out Huawei equipment from its 5G networks

After resisting pressure from the US for quite some time, UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson is believed to be preparing to phase out the use of Huawei equipment from UK’s 5G networks, according to latest reports. Citing national security concerns, several members from the UK’s Conservative party are pushing for Huawei technology to be wiped out from the UK’s 5G infrastructure and the other telecom network by 2023.
