35 lakh migrant workers travelled in more than 2600 Shramik trains till now: Home Ministry

The home ministry told the media that over 35 lakh migrant workers travelled in more than 2600 Shramik trains till now, to reach their homes amid lockdown. The government said that the maximum, 80% of the passengers travelled to Uttar Pradesh and Bihar. 2600 more trains have been scheduled for the next 10 days which will carry around 36 lakh passengers. 200 Mail Express trains will also start from June 1.
