Air India flight gets 'hot brake' warning while flying below freezing temperature altitude

Air India's Kuwait-Goa flight AI976 had to be descended to 10,000 feet for a few minutes after getting a warning for 'hot brake' while flying at the below-freezing temperature at 35,000 feet. The pilot let the landing gear cool down and then ascended to the higher altitude again. The pilot reported the incident to the airline after landing.
