At least half flights arrive late at high-traffic airports, says AAI

After finding out that 50% of flights arriving at high-traffic airports are not on time, Airport Authority of India has started a month-long trial by issuing a new standard operating procedure where no flight will be allowed to take off for choked airports like Delhi, Mumbai and Bangalore five minutes before their scheduled time. For the success of the trial, ATC at departure stations will monitor such flights.
