European Union’s domestic tourism recovers faster than foreign tourism amid COVID-19 pandemic

The European Union's (EU) domestic tourism has recovered faster than foreign tourism after most countries started easing their Covid-19 restrictions by June, official figures have revealed. In a report on Friday, the EU's statistical office Eurostat said during the early part of 2020, the tourism industry suffered as a result of travel restrictions implemented in response to the pandemic.
